Description
English: Brightened variant of File:Premier Envol de Santos-Dumont, 14 bis.png, using paint.net. Brightnes raised 60%, contrast raised 30%.
Français : Premier envol de Santos-Dumont, 14 bis. Bien que l'affirmation que cette photographie ait été prise lors du premier envol de Santos-Dumont bénéficie de la caution de Ferber (dans son ouvrage cité ci-dessous), il est possible qu'elle soit (encore) issue des expériences réalisées sous le dirigeable N°14 (comme beaucoup des images parues dans la presse de l'époque). Au demeurant, la version ci-dessous de la même photographie montre mieux le pilote dans une position peu en accord avec les contraintes du pilotage. L'absence de la roue arrière et de la béquille avant est bien la configuration des essais sous le dirigeable (ci-dessous). :
