Description
Català: Presentació de Jesús al temple, Josep Vergara, medalló de la volta de la catedral de Sogorb. Fresc, 300 x 300 cm. aprox. Ca. 1793 - 1795.

Obra del pintor Josep Vergara Ximeno, l'escena se situa en el medalló del tercer tram des dels peus del temple, obra aparellada dels altres tres medallons plasmats a la volta de la catedral.

L'ancià Simó, al centre, amb el nen en braços, sobre escalinata amb fons d'arquitectura, columnes salomòniques i draperia. Al seu voltant diverses figures, a l'esquerra sant Josep, amb la gàbia de les tórtores i la profetessa Anna. Agenollada, en primer terme la Mare de Déu. A l'altre costat, un pobre, un nen i figura femenina.
