Description
Español: Foto tomada en Tepic, Nayarit; México. El día en que se colocó la primera piedra de lo que fuera el edificio de la Cruz Roja, ubicado por la calle Ures (lo que es hoy el velatorio del DIF). Aparecen los doctores Alberto Guiérrez Camarena y Antonio González Guevara, acompañados de un grupo de enfermeras. Este edificio fue inaugurado el 13 de septiembre de 1947 en un acto solemne, con la asistencia del Gobernador del Estado, don Gilberto Flores Muñoz, su señora esposa y diversos funcionarios gubernamentales; las damas del Comité de la Cruz Roja debidamente ataviadas con el uniforme oficial; un grupo de muchachas estudiantes uniformadas de la Escuela Comercial Roxy con su escolta y abanderada, así como todo el Consejo de Administración. La romántica pero fogosa palabra del ilustre poeta nayarita Everardo Peña Navarro (que era integrante del Consejo de Administración) hizo latir los corazones de todos los presentes y fue un bello grito de aliento para todos los cruzrojistas.
