Carte de visite. Plain back.

"Carl Koch, photograph, 1889" embossed on lower right of photograph. Carl Koch ran a photographic studio for many years from 30 Neuer Wall, Hamburg.

Bought from an eBay seller in Winsen, Germany.

Can any of my German-speaking friends decipher the handwritten caption? I'm hoping it's the location. [Update 05.01.17: "die Johanniskirche" = St John's Church. See comments.]
