Українська: Кратер Прокл на Місяці, між морями Спокою та Криз. Примітний яскравою променевою системою, у якій, однак, є прогалина на південному заході. Це вказує на те, що він утворений похилим ударом саме з цього напрямку (Herrick, Forsberg-Taylor, 2003). Мозаїка знімків космічного апарата Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, зроблених ширококутньою камерою (WAC) при погляді в надір і висоті Сонця 60°. Розмір зображення — 250×250 км, північ приблизно вгорі.
English: Crater Proclus on the Moon, between maria Tranquillitatis and Crisium. It is notable for its bright ray system, which has a gap in southwest. This is a sign that the crater was formed by an oblique impact from this direction (Herrick, Forsberg-Taylor, 2003). This mosaic is made of images, taken by Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter with Wide Angle Camera (nadir-looking and with Sun elevation 60°). Size of the image is 250×250 km, north is approximately up.
Français : Crater Proclus sur la lune, entre la Mer de la tranquillité et la Mer des Crises. Il est remarquable pour son système de rayons lumineux. Les rayons de Proclus, d’une longueur d’environ 600 km, n’apparaissent qu’à l’est, du côté droit du cratère et à l’intérieur de la mer des Crises, ce qui suggère que l’objet qui l’a créé est arrivé avec un angle faible depuis le sud-ouest. (Herrick, Forsberg-Taylor, 2003). Cette mosaïque est faite d’images prises par Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter avec un objectif grand angle (visée nadir et hauteur du soleil 60°). La taille de l’image est 250×250 km, le nord étant approximativement au dessus. |
