Description
Español: Prometeo y Atenea crean al primer hombre. Una joven representa la Psyché que vuela con alas de mariposa.
Deutsch: Fragment eines römischen Reliefsarkophags mit Darstellung des Prometheus-Mythos (Prometheussarkophag), Marmor, um 180/190 Jh. n. Chr., Madrid, Museo del Prado.
  1. Szene: Erschaffung des ersten Menschen durch Prometheus. Minerva leistet ihm Beistand.
  2. Szene: Beseelung des Menschen. Davon ist nur noch die schwebende Psyche am rechten Rand erhalten. Der Rest ging (wohl beim Transport des Sarkophags von Rom nach Madrid) verloren. Die rechte untere Ecke (Felsen) ist modern ergänzt.
