Description
Español: El Puente del Rey es una gran obra de albañilería representativa de la época colonial. Fue orientado en dirección norte-sur y se empleaba como ruta de acceso a la ciudad. Comunicaba con el Camino Real y cruzaba el antiguo río Gallinero, hoy río Abajo. Se construyó entre 1619 a 1634. Algunos historiadores mencionan que antes de esta fecha existía un puente de madera y que un perito de Cartagena supervisó las obras de mampostería--.
