English: The Pura Belpré Award is a book award for literature that celebrates the Latino experience. During the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference, a ceremony called "Pura Belpré Celebración" takes place to present the awards to authors and illustrators. In the 2022 Celebración, REFORMA representative Ana-Elba Pavón is presenting a recognition to one of the co-founders of the Award, Oralia Garza de Cortés. |
