Summary[edit]
DescriptionQF 18-pounder Valcartier Quebec 1914.jpg |
English: A Canadian Artillery, Ordnance QF 18-pounder Field Gun, at Camp Valcartier. With the coming of WW1, the ‘Canadian Permanent Active Force’ gunners adopted the British model of designating batteries as either ‘horse artillery’ or ‘field artillery’. Canadian Non-Permanent Active Militia gunner units assumed the ‘field artillery’ designation, equipped with an Ordnance QF18-pounder. |
