Description
English: Metal case.

Antique leather cased compass in excellent condition. Compass and leather case marked with maker’s name.

This compass was made by William Husbands located at 81 Queen Street. Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He purchased the business from John Grimoldi in the mid 1880s. Exceptional instrument in an example of quality instrument making in early Melbourne.
