Description
English: Air Director Kelley shown here manning the Eyerly Fire’s Interagency Command Post at the fire’s helibase, organized at City-County Airport (MDJ/S33), Madras. Oregon. The Command Post trailer, furnished by the town of Milton-Freewater in Eastern Oregon, provides radio communication with pilots leaving and arriving from fighting the fire, is also a weather station and can stay in radio/telephone contact with authorities managing the Eyerly Fire. A Bell 309B-III, N63888, sits nearby at the ready.
