English: In 1966 these cars were built in Kenosha Wisconsin (USA) and crated in a knock down kit form to Melbourne Australia then painted and assembled by AMI (Australian Motor Industries) with some local built content such as unique front seats etc. Often used in Australia as Police cars but also sold to the public as an expensive luxury car. Usually fitted with 287 V8 Engine and three speed automatic transmission with front power assisted disc brakes and four coil suspension was far ahead of local Australian built vehicle options. |
