Description
English: Left: Azimuthal velocity plotted against radius. (i) Fluid speed of solid body rotation in a classical vortex core. (ii)Fluid speed of vortex in both classical and quantum fluids. (iii) A Rankine vortex model of a tornado with core of size a_0. Right: Number density plotted against radius of a quantum fluid with vortex of radius a_0. The quantity n_s represents the density of the fluid sufficiently far from the vortex core r >> a_0.
