English: A simple example of monitoring an organic reaction with TLC. L = starting material, L+R Starting material + reaction mixture "co-spot", R = reaction mixture. 1. TLC run immediately after the starting material was placed in the reaction vessel, no product formed (only greenish yellow spot) 2. Later some product has been formed (purple spot), but there is still starting material present 3. No starting material present, reaction completed Suomi: Yksinkertainen esimerkki TLC:N käytöstä reaktion seurannassa. L = lähtöaine, L+R = lähtöaineen ja reaktioseoksen "co-spot", R =reaktioseos. 1. TLC ajettu välittömästi lähtöaineen ja muiden reagenssien lisäyksen jälkeen. Reaktiota ei ole vielä tapahtunut. 2. Myöhemmin reaktion tuotetta (violetti) on syntynyt, mutta lähtöainetta (keltainen) on vielä jäljellä 3. Lähtöaine on kokonaisuudessaan reagoinut tuotteeksi. |
