Description Lot 2282-3: Commander of the Navy’s Task Force 68, otherwise known as the Byrd Antarctic Expedition is Rear Admiral Richard H. Cruzen, USN, shown onboard U.S. Coast Guard icebreaker, Northwind (WAGB 282), and studying the World of Ice. Operation HIGHJUMP was from August 1946 to February 1947.
