Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is a picture of my Lange Rekel. It is made of 100% worsted wool, and is just meant to illustrate the Rekel article. Notice that the button pattern is right over left, counter to the usual style. This is because according to Jewish law, Jews should not wear their clothes in ways that are specific to non-Jews. As an aside, many Jews believe this piece of Halaka is out of date. Also, the fur hat in the background of the picture is not a Hasidic one, such as a Shtreimel, but is rather a faux fur version of a popular Russian cap called an Ambassador or Cossack.
