Description
English: L'ombra que projecta el gnómon metàl.lic sobre la cara inferior del cilindre indica l'hora solar.

L'hora legal s'obté afegint una hora durant trador-hivern i dues hores durant la primavera- estiu.

Durant hivern-primavera l'hota es llegeix sobre la línia groga, durant estiu-tardor sobre la línia vermella.

Les línies horitzontals indiquen el mes de l'any amb el signe zodiacal, els ortos i els ocasos, als extrems del rellotge, són les hores de sortida i posta de sol.

Construcció de formigó amb ciment blanc lleugerament armat, gnòmon dacer inoxidable, en forma de tronc de cilindre seccionat buit. Dissenyat per Rafael Solé i construït sota la direcció de Ramon Juanola Subirana. És una de les dues còpies del rellotge original situat al port de Palma, l'altra duplicació es troba a San Sebastián de la Gomera. En l'interior marca el temps real en la part inferior, i el temps mitjà de la zona horària en la part central; en la part superior, cada quart dhora. També és calendari de mesos zodiacals.
