Description
Català: Restes del pòrtic del palau del Real, València. Cap a l'any 1645, amb motiu de l'arribada de Felip IV per a celebrar Corts al Regne de València, es va voler donar un aspecte més modern a la façana principal del palau. Amb aquest objectiu es va construir un porticat classicista i una galeria superior d'obertures amb llinda que va revestir l'antiga façana medieval, mitjançant la qual es podeien comunicar les dues torres davanteres. Es tractava d'un pòrtic d'estil barroc, inspirat enn la disposició del palau de Valsain de Segòvia, amb pilars rectangulars i arcs de mig punt sobre els que se sustentava la galeria superior de finestrals quadrangulars i balcons amb funció de tribuna reial, des d'on el monarca es mostrava davant els seus súbdits.
