English: A "Restricted Data" classification stamp on document from the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission in the early 1950s. The document pertains to the classification of opacity calculations which were part of work on the hydrogen bomb. The document is no longer classified and available in the U.S. National Archives. The stamp reads: "RESTRICTED DATA. This document contains restricted data as defined in the Atomic Energy Act of 1946. Note that the document is also classified as "Confidential." Its transmittal or the disclosure of its contents in any matter to an authorized person is prohibited." The original document is in the public domain as a work of the U.S. federal government, but this photograph of it (and its artful arrangement) is copyrightable and requires compliance with the CC-Attribution license. |
