Description
English: Portrait of the Rev. James Pierpont, of the ten ministers who founded the Collegiate School in the Colony of Connecticut. Pierpont served as a fellow of the school from 1701 until 1714. Rev. Pierpont married Mary Hooker as his third wife. Their daughter Sarah Hooker Pierpont married the Rev. Jonathan Edwards, preacher and theologian. Retouched by MarmadukePercy.
