Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This rivet on the left-hand gatepost at the entrance to Maryton Grange is not actually a benchmark, but it's close. Revision Points were created for the late 1940s resurvey of Britain; they were used to check previous surveys and provide a solid basis for further, and local, surveys. It is very rare to find a rivet on a vertical surface, as these are usually marked by the chiselled cut marks.
