Description
English: Revox B215 cassette deck - deep modding - implanting muting relays. The mounting bracket at the rear of the IO board makes for a convenient platform. Some drilling required. Here, the rear bracket carries two 12V relays - one for muting line output, one for muting the headphones. Coils are wired in series and powered by the existing headphone relay transistor switch (existing 22V power is more than enough to turn on two 12V coils in series). Ideally, these relays should have been implanted in the center of the board, in place of the factory headphone relays. But I prefer to use this space for the three other relays (EQ, PB muting, tape/source).
