Description
Français : Rhyton - Anatolie - vers 2000-1500 av. J.-C. - Al-Thani collection. Or, cornaline, pierre blanche. Dans l'antiquité, la consommation d'alcool avait souvent un caractère religieux, ce qui inspira la production de somptueux récipients. Dans ce rhyton, du mot gec "couler", la boisson était absobée par le petit tube dépassant de la boucghe du cerf. Fréquente dans l'art anatolien, les cervidés étaient considérés comem sacrés et liés à certaines divinités. (copie du cartet)
