Description
English: N.H. Riise (probably from Svendborg), was one of the Danish sailors imprisoned in the British ships at Chatham. He was untrained in painting, as this drawing in pen and watercolour shows. The prison-ship is the Bahama, formerly a Spanish ship of the line. Dimensions 14 x 24.5 cm. Kept at Svendborg Museum. Source: Hanne Poulsen, Danske Skibsportrætmalere, page 35 & 41.
