Summary[edit]
DescriptionRinaldis.png |
English: Family Crest of the Rinaldis Family, Luxembourg.
The per bend (diagonal white band) on top of the lion is a symbol for the unfair imprisonment of my great-grandfather. In the coat of arms, the lion is no longer behind the per bend, but it remains as reminder of the adversity that he overcame. The Lion is a representation of strength and honor, a symbol of one who does not stop fighting for what he thinks is right. The other symbols: Pike and the Spade - Hard work (and my great-grandfather's mining years). The two keys - The Pope blessing, which he had received for his wedding. The White Rose - Love and pure heart. The 3 black shells - Called Veneras in heraldry, they represent pilgrimage, adventure and travel. And finally, my great grandfather's powerful connections to both good and bad people, that's the reason for the two black quadrants, connected by the white per bend and the contrast with the white flower, keys and and mining tools. |
