Description
English: Christ the Redeemer is an iconic statue situated atop Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Standing at around 30 meters tall (98 feet), this awe-inspiring sculpture of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms has become a symbol of Brazilian Christianity and a renowned global landmark. Completed in 1931, it's not only a religious symbol but also a marvel of engineering and artistry, drawing millions of visitors each year to witness its breathtaking panoramic views of the city below.
