Summary[edit]

Description
Deutsch: Groß- oder vielleicht sogar Riesenrippel an der Südseite der Nordseeinsel Wangerooge. Die Aufnahme entstand aus wenigen hundert Metern Höhe.

Rippel mit 1 bis 2 Meter Höhe [1]und/oder 0,6 bis 30 Metern Abstand zueinander [2]bezeichnet man als Großrippel. Bei mehr als 2 Metern Höhe oder mehr als 30 Meter Länge (Abstand zueinander), spricht man von Riesenrippeln.

Die Rippel hier sind auch vom Boden bei Wattwanderungen gut zu erkennen. In den tieferen Teilen steht meist Wasser, während die etwas höher gelegenen Kämme trockener sind.
