Notizie storico-critiche: La nobildonna Marta Pelosi, madre di Omobono, figura tra i benefattori dell'ospedale di Sondrio. La donna, anziana, è ritratta frontalmente su fondo neutro. Il volto è dipinto con discreta efficacia fisionomica, con i segni dell'età nelle rughe, nello sguardo un po' stanco, nel doppio mento. Ancor più accurata è la resa dell'abbigliamento che indica un artista piuttosto abile nei dettagli e può ricordare alcuni ritratti caimiani. Meno felice, invece, è la definizione anatomica della mano, solitamente assai accurata nelle opere di Caimi.
