Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Petik Laut ini adalah warisan leluhur yang disebut sebagai sedekah masyarakat terhadap laut yang selama satu tahun menjadi tempat mereka mengais rezeki. Tradisi yang mulai digelar sejak tahun 1901 ini selalu diadakan pada tanggal 15 Muharam bertepatan dengan pasang air laut.Ini sebagai ungkapan rasa syukur para nelayan atas hasil tangkapan ikan yang melimpah. Sekaligus ritual tolak bala. Memohon keselamatan agar terhindar dari bahaya saat berlayar mengarungi lautan.
