English: Heraldic achievement of John Rolle, 1st Baron Rolle (d.1842), stained glass in first-floor window, top of grand staircase, Bicton House, near Exeter, Devon. The four surrounding shields are obscure, not the usual Rolle quarterings. |
| Date | after 1837 (accession of Queen Victoria, motto (Nec Rege Nec Populo Sed Utroque, "Not with the King nor with the People but with both", a politically astute motto) refers to Reg(in)a, "with the Queen") probably before Lord Rolle's death in 1842. |
