Summary[edit]

Description

This ornamental fountain, located in Edinburgh, Scotland was originally made for the Great Exhibition in London in 1862.

An Edinburgh business man, Daniel Ross, saw it there and was so impressed by it that he bought it for £2000 and had it transported to Edinburgh where he gifted it to the city.

It's still there, sitting below the famous castle in Princes Street Gardens, and was recently refurbished at a cost of almost two million pounds.
