| Description |
This is a genuine B.E.2c which was built in 1916 and served initially with No 50 Home Defence sqn at Dover and later with No 190 Night Training sqn. It joined the IWM in 1918 and has been on display at either Lambeth or Duxford ever since. The airframe was re-covered in 1979 and is now clear-doped instead of standard PC10 camouflage more usual for night flying types. It is seen on display in one of the genuine 1918 hangars at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. UK. 12-7-2014 |
