Summary

[edit]
Description The Dean's House of Mumbai's famous JJ School (Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy Shool of Art and Architecture). It is claimed to be the house in which Rudyard Kipling, the famous writer, poet and novelist was born to John Lockwood and Alice Kiplings on 30th Dec 1865. It appears though that the present building, which is currently under extensive renovation, was built in 1882 on the same site where the original Kipling Residence stood. Kipling has always been my favourite author, a passion I seem to have passed on to my son.
