Description
English: 67 rue de Turenne (Paris 3 rd arrondissement): Butcher's shop. Postcard around 1900.
Français : Carte postale (c. 1900) avec inscription: 98 Rue de Turenne 67, curieux balcon décoré et soutenu par des têtes de bœufs. Napoléon y coucha en 1848.
Devanture de boucherie sans porte ni vitres dont l'entrée - au centre - est flanquée de deux imposantes colonnes doriques auxquelles s'ajoutent à chaque extrémité du commerce deux pilastres pour soutenir l'entablement qui porte l'inscription DEHORS et est ornée de quatre têtes de boeuf faisant office de corbeaux pour supporter le plancher d'un balcon filant. De chaque côté des colonnes une ouverture sur rue, non vitrée, accueille l'étalage de porcs, bœufs, moutons et volailles suspendus à des crochets. Deux bouchers ou garçons bouchers, une femme à tablier et une autre personne prennent la pose, l'un à côté d'une bassine tripode posée devant le commerce, les autres dans l'encadrement de la porte.
