Deutsch: Die Zeichnung dürfte entgegen den Quellenangaben die neuere untere Burg Neu-Schönstein auf dem mäßig geneigten Gemeindegebiet von Hohenweiler darstellen. Alt-Schönstein liegt oberhalb auf einem spektakulär steil in die Rohrachschlucht abfallenden Bergsporn und bietet keinen Platz für die oberhalb und unterhalb dargestellten Bauernhöfe. Dies wird nach Prüfung der Angaben zu Neu-Schönstein noch ggf. korrigiert.
Neu-Schönstein passt von der Lage und Umgebung auch nicht. Thomas Marte gab bereits Anfang 2013 einen wichtigen Hinweis. Er ist sich sicher, dass es sich um einen Beschreibungsfehler in der Österr. Nationalbibl. handelt und stattdessen das ehemalige Schlösschen Halbenstein (heute Gemeinde Hörbranz, Ortsteil Backenreute, Siedlung am Halbenstein) gemeint ist. Wird weiter verfolgt.
