Summary
[edit]DescriptionRuins of the Apadana Palace (4691185332).jpg |
I'm including this somewhat distorted photo to give a sense of how immense and tall were the columns that supported the Apadana Palace's roof. The photo is distorted because the camera lens, unlike the human eye, tends to curve objects at the edges of its field of vision. I've cropped out the column that's casting the shadow in the lower left edge of this image because it was so skewed it looked like it belonged in a fun house. You can take my word for it that none of the columns at the Apadana Palace are leaning to the extent they appear to be in this photo. |
