Description
Français : – GUILLON LETHIERE Guillaume, (1760-1832), artiste peintre, né à Sainte-Anne (Guadeloupe) le 10 janvier 1760 de Pierre Guillon, notaire à la Guadeloupe et de Marie-Françoise Dupepaye, affranchie, il est mort à Paris le 22 avril 1832. Il épouse Marie-Honorée-Josèphe Vanzeune, (Zélie Van Zenne) le 29 frimaire an 8, (19 décembre 1799), de cette union, un fils Auguste, né le 1er juin 1796, lequel épouse Elisa Jouty.

Alexandre Dumas, autre fils de mulâtre et grand ami de Lethière, lira un éloge sur sa tombe au cimetière de Montmartre.

Cette tombe a une autre histoire, en effet elle a servi de sépulture au docteur Samuel Hahnemann, (1755-1843), qui inventa l'homéopathie. Samuel Hahnemann fut ensuite transféré au Père-Lachaise, il faut savoir que Marie-Mélanie d'Hervilly Gohier (1800-1878) l’épouse du docteur Hahnemann est la fille adoptive du peintre Guillon Lethière.

Il est inhumé dans la 16e division, le long du mur d'enceinte, son père repose dans la même division, à une dizaine de mètre à gauche, dans l’angle du mur d’enceinte.
