English: The image shows, next to the entry to the U-Bahn station "Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park", the southern exit of the long room under or in the row of new buildings from Potsdamer Platz to Landwehrkanal, left open for a possible new S-Bahn line linking the underground station Potsdamer Platz the above ground lines south of the tunnel mounds from station Anhalter Bahnhof, running in parallel with the U-Bahn line on the viaduct between stations Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park and Gleisdreieck
Deutsch: Hier, neben dem Eingang zur U-Bahn-Station "Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park" kommt die freigehaltene Trasse ins Freie.
Unter bzw in den Gebäuden, die sich vom Potsdamer Platz bis Reichpietschufer zwischen Köthener Straße und Gabriele-Tergit-Promenade erstrecken, wurde ein Raum freigehalten für eine eventuelle S-Bahn-Strecke, die als Teil des Projekts "S21" die Station Potsdamer Platz mit den oberirdischen S-Bahn-Strecken südlich vom Anhalter Bahnhof verbinden würde, dabei parallel mit der Hochbahnstrecke der U-Bahn verlaufend. Die Trasse steigt von dem unterirdischen Bahnhof Potsdamer Platz bis zu ihrem südlichen Ende an, um eine Brücke über den Landwehrkanal anschließen zu können. |
