Description
Deutsch: Typenbild einer C 5/6 gekuppelten Doppel-Zwilling Heissdampflokomotive mit Speisepumpe und Speisewasser-Vorwärmer, für die Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen. Die C 5/6 ist eine Dampflokomotive, die von der SLM für die Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen gefertigt wurde. Sie sollte auf den Steilrampen am Gotthard und den Zufahrtsstrecken im Flachland einen wirtschaftlicheren Betrieb ermöglichen und benötigte deshalb eine grössere Leistungsfähigkeit als die bisher verwendeten C 4/5. Sie ist unter dem Übernamen "Elefant" bekannt.
