Description

Stamp of South West Africa (SWA); 1973; commemorative stamp of the issue "Paintings"; stamp motive with a painting by Adolph Jentsch (1888-1977) with the title "Landscape in South West Africa". This watercolour painting was created after 1938 in the style of the impressionistic naturalism in the tradition of the Biedermeier and was long time located in the "Dyman Gallery", Stellenbosch (RSA).; Contemporary, this painting is probably in private possession.; stamp postmarked in Karibib in 1973
