Description A rare thunderstorm moves across the sagebrush steppe on Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge in southwest Wyoming. This area receives an average of only 7 inches of precipitation a year, limiting the species of plants growing here to those capable of surviving long periods without precipitation or returning from seed when moisture returns.
