Description
English: Photo of the former 1st & 2nd class waiting-room of the St Petersburg-Vitebsky railway station. The painted panels on the walls are by Mykola Samokysh and his wife Olena Samokysh-Sudkovska, and depict the historical views of the railway station over time.

St Petersburg-Vitebsky is a railway station in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Formerly known as St Petersburg-Tsarskoselsky station, it was the first railway station to be built in Saint Petersburg and the whole of the Russian Empire. It was inaugurated in the presence of Nicholas I of Russia on 30 October 1837. It was rebuilt in 1904.

Style: Art nouveau.
Українська: У 1911 році Микола Самокиш, разом з дружиною Оленою Самокиш-Судковською виконав 5 панно для Царськосільського (нині Вітебського) вокзалу в Петербурзі. На другому поверсі, в «Картинному залі» (колишній зал чекання пасажирів I і II класів) стіна прикрашена п'ятьма мальовничими панно на сюжети з історії Царськосельської залізниці:
  • вид станції Царськосельської залізниці в Петербурзі в 1837 р.
  • перша поїздка імператора Миколи I по Царськосельської залізниці в 1837 р.
  • вид Павловського вокзалу Царськосельської залізниці в день 25-річчя дороги — 30 жовтня 1862 р.
  • вид станції Царськосельської залізниці в Царському селі в 1902 р
  • вид станції Царськосельської залізниці в Петербурзі в 1900 р.
