Description
Italiano: L'altare, e la relativa cappella, sono intitolati a San Giuseppe. In correlazione con quella della BMV della Salve per posizione ed ampiezza, venne costruita tra il 1876 e il 1879, e fu nuovamente decorata nel 1930. Campeggia l'altare in marmo di Saltrio di stile bramantesco. La statua di San Giuseppe fu probabilmente l'ultimo lavoro del genovese Giacomo Francesco Parodi. L'opera scultorea venne benedetta il 25 novembre 1703 e destinata alla ricca cappella di San Giuseppe nella Cattedrale antica, cappella che era stata inaugurata nel 1529. Nel 1803 la cattedrale fu demolita per decreto napoleonico e la statua venne traslata, nel 1810, nella nuova Cattedrale.
