Varias épocas han intervenido en su construccion. Las cinco primeras capillas son del siglo XII. En ellas se encuentran dos pinturas murales del S. XVI. Las dos ultimas capillas de la nave central, S. XV, construidas para dar mas capacidad a la iglesia. En el S. XVIII, ano 1730, el templo fue ampliado con la construccion del crucero y de la cupula linterna. Crist de Mijaran : S. XII. Capella segona dreta. Es une paça religiosa i artistica de las mès preuades de la Vall. Estava, fins l'any 1936, al Santuari de Mijaran, actualment mig derruït a causa de la guerra civil. La imatge ès un fragment d'un davallament de la creu. Les altres figures, deurien desaparèixer l'any 1472, car l'església va ser saquejada amb motiu d'una invasio francesa a la Vall.
