Description
English: The so-called "Stückgarten" (literally translation: "gun garden") is a former 16th century artillery platform on the western side of Heidelberg Castle, which was later transformed into a garden.
Deutsch: Der sog. "Stückgarten" des Heidelberger Schlosses sowie der Hirschgraben. Der Stückgarten war ein mächtiger Artilleriewall ("Stück" = Kanone), der die Westseite der Anlage schützte, und stammt aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Er wurde später in einen Garten umgewandelt.
