Summary
[edit]DescriptionSchmiech Wasserpumpwerk-1870 Schwaebische-Alb.jpg |
English: First pumping station and cast iron pipes ever for communities oft he Swabian Alb. An engineer of Stuttgart planed and realised the first water supply system for three nearby villages in 1870. The water was pumped from rivulet Schmiech at “Teuringshofen” (see also photo: Image:Die Schmiech beim ehemaligen Pumpwerk Teuringshofen.jpg). Eleven years later eight groups of villages had similar supply systems. |
