Deutsch: Antonio Dal Zotto (1841 – 1918): Marmorfigur Melancholie über dem Grab der Pianistin, Komponistin und Musiktheoretikerin Ella von Schultz-Adajewsky auf dem Alten Friedhof Bonn; laut Inschrift auf einer Seite des Sockels wurde das Grabmal gesetzt von Benno Geiger (1882 – 1965), einem Neffen der Komponistin, dem österreichischen Kunsthistoriker, Lyriker und Übersetzer (für seine Übersetzungen aus dem Italienischen – vor allem Dante, Petrarca und Pascoli - erhielt er 1959 den Johann-Heinrich-Voß-Preis der Deutschen Akademie für Sprache und Dichtung). Ella vertonte Gedichte ihres Neffen in dem Liederzyklus 24 Präludien für Singstimme und Klavier; Quelle zu Dal Zotto: Benno Geiger, Memorie di un Veneziano (Vallechi Editore, Florenz 1958); Geigers Text (Seite 14) lautet übersetzt: „zu ihrer [Ellas] Erinnerung ließ ich ein Denkmal auf dem Bonner Friedhof errichten, mit einer Marmor-Statue, die Melancholie (Malinconia) darstellend, des Bildhauers Antonio Dal Zotto, des Schöpfers der Denkmäler für Tartini und Goldoni“ (gemeint ist die Goldoni-Statue in Venedig, die Statue in Florenz stammt von Ulisse Cambi) |
