Erbaut wohl im 13/14.Jh; spätere Veränderungen; Bemerkenswert: Einst Gaden-Kirchenburg; Massiver Kirchturm; nahe der Kirche die „Kemenate“ wohl einst zusätzlicher Wehrturm, 1537 zu Wohnzwecken umgebaut, später verändert. English: Schwallungen (Church-Castle); District of Schmalkalden-Meiningen; Federal State (and Free State) of Thuringia; Germany
Build presumable in the 13/14th century; later changes; of special interest: Former “Gaden-Kirchenburg” (to the inner side of the curtain, within the courtyard there were wooden houses for storing goods); massive church tower; close to there is the “Kemenate”, a former additional strong tower which was modified into living space within the year 1537. |
