English: This is sustainable forest management center. Scientist are posing with a donkey and in blue dress is the animal caretaker. This is one of the pictures taken at a science workshop/outreach/professional development to enable gain student laboratory skills, visit a natural habitat, where plants can be collected, extracted, screened phytochemically and analysed. This programme has exposed our students and participant to the fact that plants are renewable natural resources where drugs can be obtained. Africans generally eleive in the use of native medicine. Scientist were able to justify the used of some herbal plants scientifically. Screening test carried out include antioxidant screening and dettection of secondary metabolites.
