Description

To forestall accusations of plagiarism, this image is a comparison of the GFDL Image:Scotland (Location) Template (HR).png (green), which is by User:SFC9394 and the GFDL

Image:Scotland locator map 23 August 2007 - island.png (purple), which was derived from it by me. The former is WGS84 data, which is geodesic: the latter is Mercator projection. The two images cannot be reconciled by rotation, reflection, uniform transformation, nor any combination of them. Or to put it in English, you can't rotate or uniformly squish/stretch one to match the other. In short, they are geometrically incongruent and dissimilar.

and the GFDL Image:Scotland locator map 23 August 2007 - island.png (purple), which was derived from it by me. Both images have GFDL licences on 2007-08-25.
